I have a strong faith in painting.

Today, personal and social narratives often serve as a shortcut to understanding art. But I find myself stepping away from painting being consumed merely as a storytelling device.

I prefer to build tension purely through form, color, and spacing. It might go against current trends, and it’s certainly a harder path, but it is my way of proving my faith in the medium.

My work started with the explosive imagery of classic animations, but my focus has shifted. Now, my interest lies entirely in boundaries, color fields, empty spaces, and spatial tension.

Whatever the subject is, the questions remain the same:
How much form can be stripped away while the image still survives?
How do these different areas interact?
